2026 Winter Indoor Session II FGS Flag Football

OFFICIAL NFL FLAG FOOTBALL LEAGUE

Join FGS Flag Football, part of NFL FLAG — the largest youth flag football organization in the country and the largest & longest-running NFL FLAG league in New England!

This 8-week indoor season features a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format. Teams include 9–10 players to maximize development and playing time. Whether new to football or building toward tackle, this league provides a fun and developmental experience. No tryouts. Everyone plays!

📢 Winter Evaluation & Draft Update

We’re excited to announce a new system for team evaluations and drafting this season!

Evaluations: Early January time and location tbd

Team Draft: Coaches will draft teams after evaluations using our new online draft system.

This new process has already helped us create more balanced teams, ensuring fair competition and better development opportunities for all athletes.

We can’t wait to see everyone at evaluations and kick off an exciting new season!

First Games: Jan 17th 2026

Playoffs & Championships: All teams make the playoffs! 🏆 (Week 8)

Game Day: Saturdays, 8:15 AM – 2:00 PM (youngest play first)

Each player receives:

Reversible NFL FLAG jersey

Flag belt

Matching shorts (all 32 NFL teams represented)

👉 Check updated NFL FLAG sizing before registering.

👉 Extra items (gloves, sleeves, etc.) ordered during registration will be in your team’s uniform bag.

👨‍👩‍👧 Volunteer Coaches

We rely on parent volunteers as Head Coaches & Assistant Coaches. FGS provides training tools and a pre-season orientation to ensure success.

Girls League Information

SYFFL runs coed leagues for the 5/6 & 7/8 Divisions. Our Girls Leagues start at 10U. Please find your league and age divsision below.
TEAMS WILL TRAVEL AGAINST OTHER DISTRICTS
All Girls Divisions will play Saturdays between 12pm-3:30

At a young age, girls may fall victim to the stereotype that boys are tougher and stronger than girls. However, in flag football, everyone has an equal shot. Each girl gets a chance to make a play or get involved. No longer is football just “for the boys.”

Flag football also gives girls the opportunity to become a leader. Every team needs someone that can bring everyone together and set an example. In flag football, girls can break out of their shells and lead a team, some for the first time in their lives.
