***MERRIMACK VALLEY LEAGUE WILL NOW BE PLAYING IN THE SATURDAY LEAGUE - GAMES WILL BE PLAYED IN SALISBURY AGAINST NEWBURYPORT, TRITON, PENTUCKET , HAVERHILL AND AMESBURY LEAGUES

Join FGS Flag Football, part of the largest youth flag football organization in the country!
This 7-practice/6-game season, held on Saturdays, features a 5 vs. 5, non-contact, recreational, co-ed format — with girls divisions available by grade. Teams typically include 9–10 players to maximize development and playing time.
Whether you're new to the sport or building toward tackle football, this league offers a fun, developmental experience for all skill levels.
No tryouts. Everyone plays!



Season Timeline

Player Evaluations: Week of August 18, 2025
First Games: September 6, 2025
Playoffs Begin: October 11, 2025
Makeup Date (if needed): October 18, 2025
Championship Games: October 25, 2025
MA vs. NH Border Battle: November 1, 2025 – State champions face off!
Game Day: Saturdays between 8:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. (exact times vary by field availability and league size)
Majority of MA teams will play their games at Partridge Brook Park. *some divisions may combine against NH Teams and travel to the NH fields.


🏈 Practice Format

Practices are recommended 1 hour before each game on Friday evenings
Optional weekday practices may be scheduled by coaches, based on team availability


📱 Communication & Scheduling

All rosters, schedules, and communication are managed through the GameChanger App, where families can:
View player evaluation details
Track weekly practice and game schedules
Use team chat for direct communication with coaches and teammates
Notifications are sent once rosters are confirmed and team pages are activated.



🎽 Player Gear

Each registered athlete receives:
A reversible NFL FLAG jersey
A flag belt
Matching team shorts
All 32 NFL teams are represented!

📚 Divisions & Eligibility

Divisions are organized by grade for consistency and competitive balance:
Grades: Kindergarten through 8th Grade
Girls Divisions: Available by grade level
Lil Patriots (4U): For beginners age 4 & under (born Sept 2, 2020 – Sept 1, 2021)
Every team advances to the playoffs. Division championships take place on October 24, followed by the MA vs. NH Border Battle on November 1.



👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Volunteer Roles

Each team is supported by up to 3 parent volunteers:
Head Coach
Assistant Coach
All volunteers receive access to coaching resources and are invited to a pre-season orientation for support and guidance.

Registration Open: May 1 – August 31st, 2025
After capacity is reached, new registrants will be placed on a waitlist
Late Registration Fee: As of August 2nd, 2025 - $20 (if space is available)

Most New Hampshire teams will play at Brentwood, Plaistow, Exeter, or Stratham, with possible additional locations in Seabrook and Portsmouth.
Some divisions may be grouped into small and large districts depending on enrollment.

🏈 Practice Format

Recommended: Practice 1 hour before each scheduled game
Optional weekday practices may be arranged by coaches
This format supports both flexibility and consistency for families and teams

📚 Age Groups & Divisions

Divisions are strictly grade-based for development and fairness:
Grades: Kindergarten through 9th Grade
Ex: K–1, 2nd–3rd, 4th–6th, 7th–9th
Please register for the grade your athlete will enter in Fall 2025
Lil Patriots (4 & Under): For beginners just getting started (born Sept 2, 2020 – Sept 1, 2021)
Girls Divisions: Grades 2nd through 9th
🏆 All teams participate in the playoffs, with championships on October 25 and division winners from NH and MA advancing to the Border Battle on November 1.
