Our Mission

At Future Gen Sports, our mission is to empower young athletes by providing inclusive, high-quality sports training across various disciplines.

We are committed to creating a supportive environment where every child can thrive, build valuable athletic and life skills, develop confidence, and foster a lasting love for sports — all while enjoying the journey.


League Philosophy & Player Development

Future Gen Spring League is designed to provide a competitive yet development-focused experience for all athletes.

Equal Playtime – Development Divisions

For the following divisions:

  • Kindergarten / 1st Grade

  • 2nd / 3rd Grade

We actively promote and work to ensure equal playtime.

These divisions are recreational in structure and are built to:

  • Teach the fundamentals of the game

  • Build confidence and teamwork

  • Encourage skill development

  • Create a fun, safe, and supportive competitive environment


Registration Information – Spring 2026

Registration Deadlines

  • Massachusetts Registration Closes: March 15

  • New Hampshire Registration Closes: March 22

Late Registration

Any available openings after the registration deadline will incur a:

  • $15 late registration fee

Late registration is subject to roster availability and is not guaranteed once divisions reach capacity.


Season Timeline – Massachusetts (Spring 2026)

Regular Season

  • April 25 – June 6

  • No games Memorial Day Weekend

Playoffs

  • Playoffs Begin: June 13

  • Championship Weekend: June 20

Player Evaluations

Player evaluations are conducted to ensure balanced teams and competitive play.

Evaluations allow us to:

  • Assess player ability

  • Create competitive balance across teams

  • Provide coaches with player pools for the draft process

Unable to Attend?

An online self-evaluation form is available for players who cannot attend in person to ensure proper draft placement.

Draft Information

To maintain competitive balance, select divisions participate in a player draft.

No Draft / No Evaluations

The following divisions do not participate in evaluations or drafts:

  • Lil Patriots

  • Kindergarten / 1st Grade

Teams in these divisions are formed using a balanced placement model.

Draft Divisions

Evaluations and drafts begin at:

  • 2nd / 3rd Grade

  • 4th / 5th Grade

  • 6th / 7th Grade

  • 8th / 9th Grade


Playoff Format

All teams qualify for the playoffs.

Seeding is determined by:

  • Strength of schedule

  • Head-to-head results

Seeding is not based on total points scored.

This structure promotes competitive integrity and discourages running up scores.


Border Battle Championship

The Spring season concludes with our Future Gen Border Battle, featuring:

Event Details

  • Date: June 27, 2026

  • Location: Phillips Exeter Academy

The Border Battle brings together champions from both states for a final competitive showcase and ultimate bragging rights. This event highlights the growth, competition, and community that define Future Gen Sports.

New Hampshire

Season Completion Policy – Spring

A Spring season is considered complete once a team has played four (4) or more regular season games.

Due to school schedules and family vacations, the schedule allows for:

  • One (1) rainout built into the season calendar

If more than one rainout occurs, the season will be extended by one additional week to help teams meet the minimum game requirement.


Practices

Practice schedules are determined by individual coaches and teams.

Teams may:

  • Schedule weekday practices at agreed-upon locations

  • Practice prior to games in available field space

If your team has access to a local field and would prefer to use it, we are happy to provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) upon request.


Equipment & Uniforms

All required league gear is included in the registration fee.

Provided by the League

  • Official league jersey

  • Flag belt

  • One (1) pair of game shorts

Required by Players

  • Mouthguard (mandatory for participation)

Players will not be permitted to participate in games without a mouthguard.


Weather Policy

Player safety is our top priority.

Weather-Related Cancellations

If cancellations are necessary due to severe weather or unsafe field conditions, families will be notified via:

  • Website updates

  • Email

  • Social media

Lightning Policy

If lightning occurs during games:

  • Fields will be cleared immediately

  • All participants must return to their vehicles or seek proper indoor shelter

Games may be delayed or canceled.

During any lightning delay:

  • The game clock will continue to run

  • At least one full half must be completed for a game to be considered official

All players, families, coaches, and spectators are expected to adhere to the Future Gen Sports Code of Conduct.
