Lightning Policy
If lightning occurs while games are in progress, we will immediately clear the fields. Everyone must return to their cars or seek shelter indoors if possible. Games may be delayed or canceled.
During any lightning delay, the game clock will continue to run — this determines whether there is enough time left to complete at least one full half of play, which is required for the game to count as official.
Game Delay & Cancellation Guidelines
Before Game Time:
If lightning or extreme weather occurs before the game starts, a 30-minute delay goes into effect. No games may resume until 30 minutes have passed since the last lightning strike.
First Half:
If lightning occurs during the first half of the game, the game will be canceled — there will not be enough time to complete one full half of play for the game to count as official.
Halftime or Later:
If bad weather occurs at halftime or any point after, the game will be stopped and considered complete. The score at the time of stoppage will be final.
Season Completion Guidelines
Fall: The season is considered complete with 5 or more regular season games. We allow up to 2 rainouts; if there are more than 2, we will extend the season by 1 week.
Spring: The season is considered complete with 4 or more regular season games. We allow 1 rainout; if there is more than 1, we will extend the season by 1 week.
If you do not hear from us, please plan to play as scheduled!
